In 1958 Ted and Ann LaFaber opened the first full time hearing aid office in Kankakee as Beltone Hearing Aid Center, and were joined by their son-in-law Jim Webber in 1987. In 2001 the name was changed to Audibel Center for Hearing Excellence to join the most scientifically advanced -and largest American owned hearing instrument company in the world.

The family owned and operated Audibel Hearing Center has continued to serve this Kankakee community for over 48 years with branch offices in Chicago and Watseka.

A: While a hearing test may cost anywhere from $75.00 to $200.00 at some facilities. There is never a charge for a hearing test at Audibel.

How do I know if I have a hearing loss or is it wax blockage?


A: As part of our free comprehensive hearing test at Audibel, we will do a complete inspection of your ear canal using a state of the art video otoscope. The device allows you and your specialists to have a clear view on a T.V. monitor of your ear canal & eardrum to see if there is wax blockage or a condition which may require medical attention.
